Phyllis Richmond - Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique teaches you how to perform with increased comfort and ease, reduce tension and effort, and improve posture, coordination, and breathing.  You can learn to stop creating unnecessary tension and effort by using your whole body in a new way.

Half-hour private lessons in the Alexander Technique are available August 4-6 for $25, a special price for TX Cello Academy Students. You may schedule lessons with Ms. Richmond in advance of the Academy by contacting her at info@alexandertechniquedfw.com or by making arrangements with her at the workshop she will be teaching on Tuesday August  5.

Phyllis Richmond, Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique,  completed her qualification in England in 1991. She teaches through the University of North Texas College of Music, the University of Texas at Arlington Continuing Education Program, and offers private lessons and workshops in Dallas and Arlington. She has taught for many  universities and professional programs, including Southern Methodist University, Vanderbilt, Rice, Baylor, the  University of Oklahoma,  the University of Louisiana, the annual Piano Wellness Seminar, and the American Harp Society. Ms. Richmond is the Editor of AmSAT News, the publication of the American Society for the Alexander Technique.
