UTA Vocal/Choral The Vocal/Choral Division of the Department of Music at the University of Texas at Arlington is distinctive for its opportunities within a vast array of singing styles. From the choral elegance of the A Cappella Choir under the direction of Jing Ling-Tam, Director of Choral Activities, to the splendor of the Fort Worth Opera Chorus also under the direction of Associate Professor Tam, vocal study at UTA offers numerous options for finding one's voice. Private instruction from a member of our widely recognized voice faculty increases the spectrum to include the study of oratorio, art song and literature from the American musical theater. The exploration of your potential, as well as your technical development, lies at the heart of the Vocal/Choral Division of UTA.
