The Vocal Arts program at UTA provides a nurturing environment where students can grow as artists, teachers and performers. The outstanding faculty provides enriching and supportive study, and the department offers rewarding performing opportunities that prepare students for future careers as professional musicians. The choirs have consistently garnered international and national acclaim. In recent years, many of our voice students’ outstanding performances were recognized not only on campus but also at state and national competitions and auditions, such as the annual National Association of Teachers of Singing voice conference/student auditions and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In addition, many of our graduates have been accepted into prestigious graduate programs with full scholarships. They have also performed with professional opera companies such as the Ft. Worth Opera, Dallas Opera, Segal Colony Summer Opera Festival, Opera Festival di Roma, and other national and international summer festivals.
