The Wind and Percussion Area in the Department of Music at UTA has offerings for all UTA students, regardless of major. Music majors of all concentrations each study with our faculty and can participate in any of our ensemble offerings.

The Wind and Percussion Area offers performance opportunities and scholarships in both concert and athletic bands. Follow the links below for more information:
Degree Options
Wind and Percussion undergraduate students may major in music performance graduate, music education, music business/media, and theory/composition. Graduate students may major in music education or enroll in the performer's certificate program.
Private Instruction
Private instruction is offered on all wind and percussion instruments by our faculty of artist-teachers, many of whom hold prestigious performance posts in the region. Many of our students have gone on to successful careers in performance and music education and have been admitted to the best graduate programs around the country. Each studio sponsors a variety of musical activities and guest artists as well as offering numerous opportunities for solo and small group performance.

Small Ensemble Performance Faculty members in the Wind and Percussion Area also offer specialized small ensembles for their students, including Trumpet Ensemble, Trombone Choir, Woodwind Ensemble, Saxophone Ensembles, and Brass or Woodwind Quintets.
