UT Arlington In The News

Thursday, May 28, 2015

Two UT Arlington experts were quoted in a Dallas Morning News article about the influx of snakes in homes due to heavy rains. Jonathan Campbell, chair of the biology department, said dozens of types of snakes can be found in North Texas — any place they may find mice, insects, birds or toads to eat. Carl Franklin, biological curator for the Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center, said, “Snakes are a lot like us. They like to have a good meal, they like to have a good place to live, and they like to have a good mate.”
