Before joining UT Arlington, Kristin served as the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's education editor and Arlington newsroom manager. In her 18 years with the news organization, Kristin covered public safety, local government, politics, and education. She served as metro editor in the Arlington and Northeast Tarrant County newsrooms and as assistant managing editor for Arlington. Kristin also is a past president of the Society of Professional Journalists-Fort Worth Professional Chapter and the Association for Women Journalists. She earned her undergraduate degrees in political science and journalism from Southern Methodist University. Kristin grew up in Arlington and now lives in Fort Worth.
