Dog Days
KTVT/CBS 11 interviewed several UT Arlington students, as well as Amy Barraclough, UT Arlington Planetarium program coordinator, about the term, "Dog Days of Summer," which derives from the ancient Egyptians and their studies of the stars and sun. Yesterday was the last day of the dog days.
College Park Center
Systems Contractor News reported that the Minneapolis-based Alpha Video Sports & Entertainment Group has been selected by The University of Texas at Arlington to design and install the broadcast and production systems for the University's new 7,000-seat College Park Center.

AlphaTrade.com, HeraldOnline and other media reported that the AGC Composites Group, a part of AGC Aerospace & Defense, announced the appointment of Troy DePuma as chief financial officer to oversee financial activities for Unitech Composites and Structures as well as Integrated Composites, Inc. DePuma earned his accounting degree from UT Arlington.
