NSF grant

Kayunta Johnson-Winters, a UT Arlington assistant professor in chemistry and biochemistry, was awarded a $199,988 grant from the National Science Foundation’s Research Initiation Grant for Broadening Participation in Biology program, the Fort Worth Business Press reported. She will study an essential enzyme found in Mycobacteria tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis.
