News outlets interviewed UT Arlington experts Andrew Hunt and Melanie Sattler Monday about the huge blaze at the Magnablend chemical plant near Waxahachie. Hunt, an assistant professor of earth and environmental sciences, talked to KTVT/CBS 11 and WFAA/ABC 8 about the possible health implications of breathing the fine particles released into the air. Sattler, an associate professor of civil engineering, talked with KDFW/FOX 4 about the way that Monday’s sunny weather actually helped keep nearby residents safer. The professors were also interviewed on KRLD/1080 AM and WBAP/820 AM and 96.7 FM.
