Leadership academy to expand
BSNF Railway is giving The University of Texas at Arlington a
$300,000 gift aimed at expanding a business leadership academy to
freshmen and sophomores selected for the program, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The commitment from Fort Worth-based BSNF allows UT Arlington to expand
the Goolsby Leadership Academy, a program that lets selected juniors
and seniors enhance their business education through specialized courses
and leadership activities.
Bed races go Flintstones
UT Arlington’s annual bed races appeared last week on KXAS/NBC 5. This year’s race featured competitors dressed as characters from The Flintstones.

Street is occurring for the usual reasons laid out by Karl Marx: class
