Political science professor on politics and religion

Tom Marshall, UT Arlington professor of political science, was quoted in a KTVT/CBS 11 story on the role Mitt Romney’s religion could play in his presidential bid. Marshall and national polls said the fact that Romney is a Mormon could be a factor with conservative Christian voters.

Saving energy and dollars

The University of Texas of Arlington will save about $1.1 million in energy and maintenance costs after completing $9.9 million in facility upgrades, according to the website American School and University. The project, which will reduce the institution's energy usage by 9.8 million kilowatt hours a year, was funded through a low-interest loan from the 2009 federal stimulus package and will be repaid with the energy savings.
