Anti-bullying conference planned

The White House LBGT Conference on Safe Schools and Communities will be held March 20 at UT Arlington, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. The event, part of a series of conferences to be held nationwide with a focus on LGBT Americans, will feature remarks from Attorney General Eric Holder and White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. KDFW/Channel 4 aired an announcement of the conference, too.

Concussion summit held at UT Arlington

UT Arlington hosted a concussion summit that brought together kinesiology professors, medical experts, athletic trainers and coaches to study how to recognize whether a player has a concussion and what to do when spotted, KDFW/Fox 4 and KXAS/NBC 5 reported. WFAA/Channel 8 featured the concussion summit on its morning show. Darryl "Moose" Johnston, the former Dallas Cowboys fullback, was the keynote speaker.
