UT Arlington, Beijing University join hands

UT Arlington president James Spaniolo and Fangchun Yang, vice president at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, signed a degree agreement Tuesday, The Dallas Morning News reported. A picture was featured in a News column.

Fox 4 News interviewed Michael Moore, UT Arlington's senior vice provost and dean of undergraduate studies, about how students who help pay for their college education perform academically compared with those whose parents foot the bill.

Smith's film screens in Dallas

KTVT CBS 11 interviewed Ya'Ke Smith, UT Arlington assistant professor of film, about his first full-length feature, Wolf, a story about about sex abuse within the church. The film screened at the Dallas International Film Festival last night. South By Southwest, the Austin arts festival, featured the film last month.
