Newspaper founder, publisher donates papers to UT Arlington

William “Bill” Blair Jr., a local newspaper publisher and former baseball player, officially donated his personal papers to the library at The University of Texas at Arlington Tuesday, NBC 5 KXASThe Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Blair, 90, founded the Elite News, a weekly that serves Dallas-Fort Worth's black community. He also played for a number of years in the Negro Baseball leagues and started the Dallas MLK parade.
