Improved weather system to be installed at UT Arlington
The North Central Texas Council of Governments has partnered with the Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere Engineering Research Center and UT Arlington to put a new weather radar system to use in the region, KXAS NBC 5 and several other stations reported. One of the four initial systems in North Texas will be placed atop Carlisle Hall this summer.
Dallas Video Festival scheduled
Bart Weiss, UT Arlington associate professor of film, video and screenwriting, told the Dallas Observer about the 25th installment of the Dallas Video Festival. His summer session students will reveal their projects at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Studio Movie Grill in Arlington.
