Praise for Smith's film

Wolf, the latest film by UT Arlington assistant professor Ya’Ke Smith, has been screened in several cities and was mentioned in several media outlets recently, including the San Antonio Express-News, Chicago Sun-Times and Boston Globe. The Express-News said the film is a “compelling and powerful work that deals with sexual abuse, homosexuality, family violence, self-mutilation, self-loathing, religion and power.”

"Mathematical novel" published

Sophie’s Diary, a book by UT Arlington adjunct professor of physics Dora Musielak, was included in a Dallas Morning News roundup of books by authors in Texas and the Southwest. The Mathematical Association of America recently published the second edition of this intriguing “mathematical novel” built around a fictional diary and a real-life French mathematician, Sophie Germaine.
