UT Arlington solar panels featured in report
KTVT CBS 11’s Jeff Ray reported on UT Arlington’s solar panels above the College Park District parking garage. The panels generate more than $40,000 in electricity annually, said Nick Schroeder, UT Arlington facilities management director.
Professor addresses psychology of fans after losses
Texas Rangers baseball fans' eagerness to separate themselves from the team they follow is a response that psychologists call CORFing — Cutting Off Reflected Failure — as Oakland’s fan base enjoys a bit of BIRGing, Basking in Reflected Glory, after its team’s big win, The Dallas Morning News reported. The story quoted Paul Paulus, a UT Arlington psychology professor and longtime Ranger fan. “The ones who have an identity involved with the team, they’re on an emotional roller coaster, but it probably won’t affect their involvement in the future.”
