Online nursing program earns accolade
University of Texas at Arlington and Academic Partnerships have received the 2012 Star Award from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to recognize its online RN-to-BSN program, D Healthcare reported. UT Arlington is one of only four schools in the state to receive this honor.
Shuttle service to airport set to start
Several high-profile development projects are some of the reasons Mayor Robert Cluck said the past 12 months have been good ones for Arlington, the Fort Worth Star-Telegramreported in covering the mayor's State of the City address. One of those projects is a pilot transportation service with UT Arlington and local businesses. Shuttles would run people from campus and area businesses to the Trinity Rail Express' CentrePort station near DFW Airport. The two-year program also will take visitors from that station to Arlington destinations.KDFW Fox 4 reported about the transportation pilot program as well.
