Enrollment at The University of Texas at Arlington has hit an
all-time high this spring, according to unofficial numbers, with many of
the university's 33,806 students enrolled in its online programs, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram
reported. The growth this spring is being driven by gains in business,
nursing, engineering, science and social work. The increasingly popular
online offerings, along with a massive building boom on campus and the
growing prestige of many of its academic programs, are making UT

Elsenbaumer, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
WBAP/820AM and 96.7FM
reported that UT Arlington is now the largest university in North
Texas, with spring enrollment reaching a record high of 33,806. The
report said enrollment represented a 35 percent increase from 2008
