DMN: UT Arlington students and staff meet their leader-in-waiting

The sole finalist to lead The University of Texas at Arlington visited campus Wednesday and spoke in big-picture terms about his vision for the school, The Dallas Morning News reported. Vistasp Karbhari, chief academic officer at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, praised UTA for giving students a great education in nursing, engineering and other fields while pursuing “transformational” research. Finalist for UT Arlington president calls Tier One status a journey

Steering The University of Texas at Arlington toward top tier research status and helping build a stronger campus community are keys to helping the institution grow, Vistasp Karbhari, the lone finalist to be the school's next president, said Wednesday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. "UT Arlington seems poised to be among the best in the nation in what it does," Karbhari said. The newspaper’s coverage included a photo gallery.
