Liang looking for bandwidth for space
Between calling, texting and Internet use, bandwidth can be scarce. Qilian Liang, a professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, has developed a method for reducing the number of dropped calls in any given area, Tech News Daily reported. Liang has received a $470,000 National Science Foundation grant that could automatically locate available space within a bandwidth that would reduce or eliminate dead spots in cell phone coverage.
