A HuffPost Live webcast on the cost of raising Britain’s new royal baby featured Elisabeth Cawthon, UT Arlington associate professor of history and an expert on the British royal family. Predicting how Prince William’s son would be raised, Cawthon said William’s mother, Princess Diana, set a new standard for maternal involvement with royal children. “Diana took an extraordinary, almost unprecedented personal interest in her two children,” Cawthon said.

UT Arlington assistant professor of political science Brent Sasley was featured in a Voice of America story about efforts to restart talks between Israeli and Palestinian leaders. Sasley doubts any final agreement will come out of this next round of talks, should they even take place. “I’m skeptical that Netanyahu and Abbas would be the ones to sign and end of conflict agreement,” he said.
