CBS News features UTA Libraries Special Collections photo

Two photos from UT Arlington Libraries Special Collections were featured on CBS This Morning along with veteran news reporter Bob Schieffer’s firsthand account of the aftermath of the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The historic photos are part of "Howdy, Mr. President! A Fort Worth Perspective of JFK," an exhibit that explores his visit to Fort Worth on Nov. 22, 1963, before his tragic assassination in Dallas later that day. AARP The Magazine also featured a photo from exhibit in its October/November issue.

Smith featured in discussion about "12 Years a Slave"

UT Arlington assistant professor of film and independent filmmaker Ya’Ke Smith was mentioned in a Dallas Morning News Guildelive piece about the new movie “12 Years a Slave.” Smith was featured in a radio discussion about the film with the newspaper’s film critic, Chris Vognar.
