ARLINGTON - The University of Texas at Arlington Procurement Services/HUB (Historically Underutilized Businesses) Program and the College of Business are teaming with the Arlington Chamber of Commerce's Center for Innovation to offer a Mini-MBA in Entrepreneurship starting this week.

Classes are 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. An additional class on Tuesdays and Thursdays has just opened due to high demand. Classes will run through Nov. 4 at the Center, 202 E. Border St. Cost is $100. E-mail carlton@uta.edu or mosby@uta.edu for more information or to apply for the class. Fax queries to 817-272-2685. If all applicants cannot be taken into these classes, future classes will be offered.

David Mosby, a lecturer of management within the College of Business, said the course pertains to entrepreneurs interested in growing their businesses. He said the 10-session course is aimed at HUB firms but could be for anyone.

"We have found that many business owners know their product, but may not know the general business principles of running a business" Mosby said. "In fact, many businesses fail while they are in an expansion mode."
