ARLINGTON - Tickets are now on sale for an event
honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. The “Sharing the
Dream” Awards Banquet will be held Friday, Jan. 14, at UT Arlington. The
keynote speaker is Rev. Samuel Billy Kyles of Memphis, TN.
Rev. Kyles is a humanitarian, a resource
on the civil rights movement and an eyewitness to the assassination of Dr. King
on April 3, 1968. He also is the only person, still living, who shared the last
hour of Dr. King’s life with him on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in
