Emmitt Smith tickets available Monday, Oct. 3

Tickets to see football legend and entrepreneur Emmitt Smith speak as part of The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Speakers Series will be available beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.

Tickets are required for admittance and are available to UT Arlington faculty, staff, students and to the public at www.utatickets.com.

New this year, a Premium Seating Package is available for $25 and includes reserved seating, parking and other perks. General admission tickets are free.

Smith, the National Football League’s all-time leading rusher, will kick off the fourth season of the Maverick Speakers Series by discussing “A Championship Vision.”

Other upcoming speakers are:

  • Nov. 17, 2011 — ice cream entrepreneurs and social activists Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield on “Entrepreneurial Spirit, Social Responsibility, and Radical Business Philosophy.”
  • Feb. 7, 2012 — CNN special correspondent Soledad O’Brien on “Diversity in America.”
  • March 6, 2012 — oceanographer and deep sea explorer Robert Ballard on “Adventures in Deep Sea Exploration.”
  • March 23, 2012 — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on “Achieving Excellence in Education.”
