UT Arlington to sponsor free SAT math prep classes

The University of Texas at Arlington is offering free SAT math preparation classes this spring to help area high school students prepare for the college entrance exams.

The workshops are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays at Summit International Preparatory (Secondary Campus), 1305 North Center St., in Arlington. Classes will be held Feb. 11 and 25, March 31 and April 14 and 28.

The program is open to public, private and home school high school students in Tarrant County. All participants must have a basic knowledge of algebra.

Participants may attend one or all sessions. Each session covers different material. No pre-registration is required.

Students should bring their own calculators. Other materials will be supplied.

Co-sponsors of the free sessions include Capital One Bank, Midwestern State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at Dallas.
