Maverick Speakers Series tickets available for March 6 Robert Ballard lecture

Tickets to hear Titanic discoverer Robert Ballard speak as part of the Maverick Speakers Series are sold out; however, UT Arlington will release unfilled seats before the March 6 lecture. If you would like to attend with a free general admission ticket, but don't have one, please arrive at Texas Hall at 6:30 p.m. and check in at the Box Office. Guests without tickets will be seated if space permits on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets to see renowned oceanographer Robert Ballard speak March 6 as part of the University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Speakers Series are now available. General admission tickets are free; premium seating is also available and includes parking. Tickets may be reserved at www.utatickets.com.
Ballard is best-known for his underwater archeology, including the discovery of the Titanic in 1985. Among his other significant findings, in 2002 Ballard located the wreckage of John F. Kennedy’s sunken torpedo boat from World War II.
Ballard is a former Navy officer who has authored 16 books. He also developed the JASON Project, which allows students to virtually explore the oceans.
The Maverick Speakers Series is now in its fourth season and will conclude March 23 with an appearance by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
