- 05/22 — New America Foundation names UT Arlington one of six national “Next Generation Universities”
The University of Texas at Arlington is one of six universities nationwide to be named a “Next Generation University” in a new study published by the New America Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on public policy issues. 
05/15 — Education, research earn awards for UT Arlington nursing professors
Two UT Arlington College of Nursing professors will receive the Association of Black Nursing Faculty Lifetime Achievement in Education and Research Award at the organization’s 26th Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference in June.
05/09 — UT System Regents award UT Arlington student for exceptional work in the visual arts
A University of Texas at Arlington student has received The University of Texas System Board of Regents’ Outstanding Student Award in Arts and Humanities for his exceptional work in the visual arts.
05/08 — Black earns national award for contributions to social work education
The Council on Social Work Education has chosen University of Texas at Arlington professor Beverly Black to receive its 2013 Distinguished Recent Contributions in Social Work Education Award. The award honors significant and broad contributions to social work education in scholarship, pedagogy and organizational leadership.

Susan Gonzalez Baker studies U.S. immigration policy, Mexican migration to the United States, experiences of Mexican immigrant women in U.S. labor markets, and race and ethnic differences in homelessness in the U.S. She is able to interview in English and Spanish and open to all forms of media.
