Solar Eclipse Myths

Kimberly Breuer, associate professor of instruction in the Department of History, spoke with The Dallas Morning News about the way ancient civilizations understood and viewed eclipses. She said premodern peoples watched the skies and recorded the movements of the sun, moon, stars and planets.

Real Estate Commission

A proposed settlement by the National Association of Realtors could lead to changes on the way homes are bought and sold, the Fort Worth Report and The Dallas Morning News report. Sriram Villupurum said other countries buy and sell homes without the commission fees and buyers and sellers still use realtors.

Kevin Schug, Shimadzu Distinguished Professor of Analytical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, said the use of medical mushrooms in certain jurisdictions calls for further research and potential clinical applications.
