HESI TEST

Admission Assessment

All applicants are required to take the HESI Admission Assessment Exam (HESI A2), an assessment tool used to evaluate prospective students and their potential for successful program completion.

Deadline to submit HESI A2 scores:
     Spring applicants - June 1
     Fall applicants - February 1

     Next testing date

Test Dates for at UTA Campus:

January 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2010

You may test on one of these dates at UTA, or submit scores from another school or testing site by this date.

Areas to be tested include Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge and Grammar.  Although not  used as admission criteria, applicants will also complete the Learning and Personality Styles to provide them insight into their study habits, learning preferences, and dispositions as they relate to academic achievement.

Students who have submitted a writing sample during a previous application period will be required to take the HESI A2.  At this time, we do not require a minimum application score.

Registration
You must register for the HESI exam through UTA Testing Services website at www.uta.edu/testing click on HESI link and follow the instructions to the on-line test scheduling system.  After you register for the exam there is a link on the last page to pay on-line using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express on the University’s secure payment website.  If you do not wish pay on-online, you should register for the exam, print out the e-mail that is sent by the scheduling system, and go to the UTA Testing Office in Davis Hall room 201.  There you will receive a deposit slip to take to the Bursar’s office to pay.  The fee is $45.00.  Link to form
