Nurse Practitioner
(ANP) |
The Adult Nurse Practitioner Program
(ANP) prepares
advanced practice nurses as primary care providers to manage the health of individuals
from 12 years of age through old age and their families. Emphasis is on health promotion,
illness prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. The ANP provides leadership and promotes research in the delivery of quality health
care services for adults and their families. Graduates are prepared to be recognized as
advanced practice nurses by the Board of Nurse Examiners and to take the Adult Nurse
Practitioner Certification Exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

This program provides you a background to: |
Assume responsibility as an Adult Nurse Practitioner
to provide health care to adults and their families in a variety of settings.
Collaborate with health professionals and use
essential resources to implement quality, continuous care to adults and their families.
Demonstrate confidence in assessment, diagnosis, and
management of the health needs of adults and their families.
Use research and theoretical principles in the
management and quality improvement of health care delivery and clinical outcomes in an
Adult Nurse Practitioner Practice.
