Advanced clinical management of individuals across the lifespan with emergent health care needs requiring resuscitative measures for potentially life threatening alterations. 5440. PEDIATRIC ACUTE CARE I (2-6). Family focused approach to the management of children with secondary and tertiary health care needs. Emphasis will be placed on the application of clinical decision-making models in the management of children with selected acute medical-surgical conditions, including the impact these conditions have on development and the family. 5441. PEDIATRIC ACUTE CARE II (2-6). Family focused approach to the use of advanced knowledge of medical-surgical nursing in the management of children with complex multi-symptom dysfunction. NURS 5440. Spring 04  Fall 04

5442. ADVANCED NURSING CARE OF THE PEDIATRIC CLIENT I (2-6). Using an ecological framework and building upon primary care management, the major focus is on advanced health promotion, assessment, and management of minor acute and chronic illness of the developing child within the family.
