PhD in Nursing - Academic Role Objectives

The purpose of the Academic Role Development area of study is to provide opportunities for students to develop knowledge and skills requisite for a successful academic role (i.e., faculty, Dean or Director) in institutions of higher learning preparing students who are capable of healthcare careers in a diverse society.
 
The outcome objectives for the Academic Role Development area of study are to prepare nurse scientists who will:
  1. Integrate the roles of teaching, research and professional service into the academic role.
