RN to BSN Program
If you are not currently a registered nurse, please review the information on the BSN Program.


The RN to BSN degree option is designed for the registered nurse who wishes to earn a baccalaureate degree. Students are admitted each fall and spring (some distance education sites admit students in fall or spring only) following completion of 60 hours of prerequisites. Students who enroll full-time can complete the nursing courses in two semesters, meeting all day one day per week for classroom instruction. Part time options are available. 

Program sites located on the UT Arlington campus and at various community colleges and hospital sites permit students to complete the majority of their classroom work in their local communities.

Classes are available in the traditional program (in the classroom) or by DVD allowing the student to choose an option that best fits their schedule and learning style. (more information on options is available by speaking with an RN-to-BSN advisor)

Reputation: Graduates of The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing programs enjoy the reputation of excellence in health care delivery among employers and nursing leaders.

Curriculum: Flexibility and access through multiple methods of delivery (classroom, online, Internet, DVD) make this curriculum ideal for the working nurse.  The curriculum is designed for 2 full-time semesters with classes scheduled just one day a week. Credit is given for courses listed in the FOSC (Coordinating Board Field of Study Curriculum) guidelines as transferable.

Accreditation: The UT Arlington Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing degree program is accredited by the the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the pre-licensure BSN program is governed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
