In 2009, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board created a designation of “high performing school” for nursing schools who have both an undergraduate pre-licensure graduation rate and a first-time NCLEX pass rate of 85% or higher. Out of approximately 100 nursing schools in the state, the College was 1 of 13 schools in 2009 and 1 of 9 in 2010 to receive this designation.
