The LRC provides undergraduate
students a place to develop, refine and apply knowledge in the
clinical practice skills to be a competent beginning practitioner;
the graduate students a setting to study selected aspects of
clinical practice and education by providing needed learning
resources; and faulty are provided with resources to support
classroom teaching, clinical learning activities, and scholarly
endeavors utilizing state-of-the-science technology.
The school is using Patient
Simulators to enhance the learning experience of
undergraduate and graduate students. Utilizing "what if" scenarios
developed by the faculty, students can be allowed to make a judgment
or medication error without faculty intervention and thus experience
the natural result of their mistakes.
