The director provides supervisory and technical skills required in directing and supporting LRC staff in usage of audiovisual equipment, the clinical lab, the computer lab and other LRC activities. Responsible for assigning, scheduling, and supervising LRC staff and work study students.

 

Audio Visual Education Specialist I:

The audio/visual specialist provides the skills to prepare, select, classify and evaluate audio-visual teaching materials. Responsible for preparing, designing, and application of audio visual methods, materials, and devices. Controls distribution, maintenance, and instruction of media materials including overhead and slide projectors, video cameras, laptop computers, VGA LCD video projectors, microphones, and cassette recorders. Creates posters and displays for use in faculty presentations. Creates and edits video programs for SON activities and classroom lectures. Assists in guiding work study students in training of media equipment. Assists students and faculty in media use. Selects and recommends the purchase of related audio-visual equipment and supplies. Performs related duties as required. Assists in the general operation of the LRC.

 

 
 Computer User Services Assistant: Yero Coffee (coffee@uta.edu)

Maintains 2 students computer labs, the Computer training center, and computers in LRC staff offices and 12 classrooms. He performs maintenance and needed upgrades on all computers and all other computer related equipment.  Creates web based products such as virtual tours, and flash movies.  Offers digitized videos for students to view on computers. Performs related duties as required.
 

Audio Visual Equipment Technician III: 

Provides technical skills to create, produce and edit any or all video projects for the School of Nursing. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all video and audio equipment used in video production. Uses skill in photography to take professional action or head shots for faculty and staff. Assists in the general operation of the LRC.
