Nursing Cooperative Education Program

Integrating Work Experience Into Your Education

The Cooperative Education Program at UT Arlington School of Nursing is designed to offer a means for students to gain work experience appropriate to their educational and career needs, to monitor and evaluate their work experience, and to help students integrate work experiences into their total education.

N3100, N3200, N4100, N4200
A student who begins the Co-Op experience in their Junior year (N3100 and N3200) after completing Junior I courses, is prepared to work as a nursing assistant.

Course credit will be given for cooperative education experiences at the rate of 1 credit per 50 paid work hours. The Co-op Coordinator (Dr. Beth Mancini) approves all experiences and the course is pass/fail.
