I am a native of Houston, Texas. I have attended school in Louisiana, Ohio, and Texas over the years. I have worked in Texas and Ohio. My work experience includes postsecondary education, hospital-based nursing education, staff nursing, management, administration, and nurse practitioner experiences. My recreational activities include fishing, collecting frogs (for me) and clowns (for my husband), reading when I can find the time, going to the movies, traveling when my work schedule permits, spending time with my husband and family - - my newest is bird watching. A very special time is attending church with my husband. I hold memberships with TNA, ANA, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity Honor Society for Education, Texas Nurse Practitioner Association (local and state), NONPF, and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Greater Fort Worth, TX.
