Brief Summary

I began my nursing career as an Emergency Room nurse at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.  After working in the ER and telemetry floors, I began working in the Education department and realized my real love was teaching.  Combining teaching and nursing, I later worked for Harris Methodist Fort Worth to develop, implement and teach a nursing assistant program that provided the hospital with well-educated and well-trained unlicensed assistive personnel.

After graduating in May, 2005 from UTA with a Masters degree in Nursing Administration, I began teaching in that same graduate program.

I'm married, have three children, and enjoy cooking, reading, and gardening.
