The PhD in Nursing Program at UT Arlington prepares nurse scientists to improve the health outcomes of culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. Nurse scientists are needed who can reduce health disparities and contribute to nursing science.
We offer both MSN-to-PhD and BSN-to-PhD entry. Courses are offered in a blended (online and on-campus) format with students not meeting face-to-face every week. The number of class meetings per semester varies by course. This format reduces travel time, but maintains personal contact among students and faculty. Full- or part-time degree plans are available.
A formal Mentoring Program provides doctoral students the opportunity to be matched with faculty or community leaders for support and guidance.
