Smart Hospital Continuing Education Courses


As a Laerdal Center of Educational Excellence in Simulation The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing  is a recognized leader in the field of simulation. We are committed to providing an innovative educational model that prepares nurses who effectively and quickly integrate into the health care environment and are life-long learners and leaders. Our faculty experts have designed continuing education courses for educators implementing simulation into their nursing curriculum.

  • Knowledge Acquisition: The process of acquiring or revising knowledge.
  • Skills Proficiency: The development of psychomotor skills to master practical procedures.
  • Computer Simulation: The use of a computer program simulating patients to develop decision making and emergency skills.
  • Simulation in Teams: Group practice of realistic scenarios to improve teamwork, leadership and communication.
  • Clinical Experience: Learning through reflecting on the treatment of real patients, personal experiences and exchange of knowledge with colleagues.
