IEFS-The International Education Fee Scholarship is a scholarship open to all UTA students studying abroad (International students may apply if they studying abroad after starting at UTA). This scholarship is awarded primarily on a need basis but also takes into consideration academic performance as well as the student's reasons for studying abroad. Awards are made in the fall for spring programs and in the spring for summer and fall programs. Applications are available in the International Office. Check out FAQs about the IEFS.

NSEP Scholarships-The U.S. Government funds this scholarship which is awarded annually to U.S. Citizens. Awards are made for study in countries other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand for summer, semester and year- long programs. Applications are available in the International Office. Anyone interested in an NSEP scholarship should visit the NSEP website.

Fulbright Fellowships-The United States Information Agency annually awards grants to graduating seniors and graduate students in all disciplines for studies all over the world. UTA students must apply through the International Office and be US citizens. International students must apply for the IEFS through their home country. More information can be found at the USIA-Fulbright website.

IIE Regional Study Abroad Grants-The Institute of International Education-Southern Region offers varied grants and scholarships for study abroad. Preference is given to students studying in semester or academic year programs. More information can be obtained in the International Office.

Tony Litsey Scholarship Fund-This scholarship, for UTA Spanish majors, can award a maximum of $500 to students with a 3.0 GPA in Spanish and an overall GPA of 2.5. The scholarship is also available to incoming high school students. For more details contact the Department Foreign Languages at 817 272 3161. Applications can be picked up in their office at 230 Hammond Hall.

Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships-These scholarships are for study in the United Kingdom only. They are intended for students who wish to pursue an advanced degree at a University in the U.K. More information and applications are available in the International Office.

Rotary Scholarships-Rotary Clubs around the country annually award scholarships for American citizens wishing to study abroad. More Information can be obtained from the Internatiional office or by contacting a local Rotary Club (either in Arlington or in your home town). The Rotary International home page can answer many FAQs.

b>Florence Terry Griswold Scholarship-This scholarship is a $2,000.00 grant to a woman student for study in a Pan American country. A qualified applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of the state of Texas. Applications are available in the International office.
