ARDC - Host/Participating Institution
Description Statement
The University of Texas System has designated the University of Texas at Arlington as one of three Host Institutions (HI) for University of Texas Regional Data Centers (RDC) facilities.
Mission Statement
Each Regional Data Center will have a functional liaison (FL) that will coordinate communications and guidelines for participating institutions (PI) utilizing each facility.
The mission for each RDC facility’s functional liaison (FL) is to create a standard of communications, functional guidelines, and a single point of contact between the host institution and the participating institutions.
Responsibilities
To accomplish this mission, the FL will provide the customer with documents regarding the mode of communications, facilities policy and guidelines, forms for requests, needs, and coordination of requirements needed for authorized personnel who will have access to the data center. Examples of these documents are: Policy Guide, Circuit Master Template, Equipment kVa power rating, Component Contact list, high level Component Punch List and Component List of Badge IDs.
