IMPORTANT: There are some issues with Outlook 2001 (OIT support for Outlook 2001 to end Fall 2006) for Mac running in OS X 10.0.x and 10.1.x. If your personal folder is not mounted prior to opening Outlook 2001, the application will not be able to find .PAB and .PST files located on the Network folder. Because Outlook is the chosen method of official communications for UT Arlington, this is an important consideration before migrating over to OS X. This problem does not occur with Mac OS X v.10.2.2. Mac OS X 10.2.x is not a free upgrade for Mac OS X 10.1.x.or any previous Mac OS.
IMPORTANT: Make sure your computer's firmware is up to date before installing OS X 10.2.x. This can be done by using OS 9's Software Update Control Panel.
IMPORTANT: The Mac OS X 10.2.4 update may cause some systems to reboot with the year changed to 1969 or 1970. Updating to Mac OS X 10.2.5 or greater will fix this problem.
The correct version of OS 9 must be installed in order for the classic environment to work correctly in OS X. For the classic environment to work correctly may involve updating either OS 9 or OS X.
How to Get: Please see the Retirement Plans for this operating system.
