This page explains browser settings for MyMav system.

How to Get:

For Best Results Use One of the Following Browsers:

How to Use:

How to clear Cache and Cookies

MyMav users may be advised to clear cache and cookies to eliminate out of date cache and cookie errors especially an upgrade has been made in the system.

Internet Explorer

  • Click Tools Menu
  • Click Delete Browsing History, uncheck "Preserve Favorites website data"
  • Be sure to check all the other options, except the Passwords check box
  • Click the Delete button
  • If you have a bookmark to MyMav, right click on the Favorite and Choose Properties
  • Make sure that the URL points to: https://sis-portal-prod.uta.edu/AEPPRD/signon.html
  • Save the bookmark
  • Re-boot your computer

Mozilla Firefox

  • Go to Tools>Clear Recent History
  • Select Everything from Time Range To Clear drop down box
  • Check all of the options in the Details pane
  • Click Clear Now
  • Restart your computer

Known Issues:

  • Due to the nature of the device itself, some on-screen features will function somewhat differently on an iPad than on a standard computer.
  • Internet Explorer users may experience a spinning page.  Adding MyMav to their Trusted Sites on IE 8 or 9 may resolve the issue. How to add MyMav to Trusted Site Zone: instructions are available at http://www.wikihow.com/Add-a-Website-to-Trusted-Sites 
  • Signin page checks browser compatibility upon login. With PT 8.51 there is a browser compatibility checker upon login to Portal 9.1. If the browser is not compatible it displays a red message on the Signin page.  Portal users are recommended to flip compatibility view in their browsers to be able to get in.

Launch Internet Explorer 8/9.

  •  
    • Click on the "Tools" menu and select the "Compatibility View Settings"  option. This will open a window where you can customize the compatibility view  feature.
    • Remove the check in the check box next to "Display all websites using  Compatibility View" to turn off the feature.

  • Internet Explorer 11 is not supported at this time.  While it may still be possible to access MyMav with IE 11, users may experience issues due to incompatibility.
