Temporary Visitor and Event Accounts
Departments can request a special type of NetID to be used for group events and for temporary visitors that are not employed by the university. An authorized person from the sponsoring department will need to fill out the NetID Request Form.
Event accounts are used for a group of people and only grant a short term access to the UTA network via login to computers that are on UTA domain, Resnet, and UTA Wireless.
Guest, visitor, vendor accounts can be for a longer period of time with some additional access options, such as e-mail, departmental shared drive access, storage space on network drives, MyMav, etc. Departments have the option to request access only to buildings and not computer systems. The level of access would have to be specified by the sponsoring department on the NetID Request Form.
If this guest or visitor will have a teaching or instructor role, department should enter 0% appointment in Define before requesting the NetID.
