IT Volume Purchase Overview
Description:
The goal is to maximize UTA's purchasing power by coordinate annual volume purchases of Windows computers, Apple computers, and networked HP laser printers. When this program was first started back in 2003 we were shooting to have these volume purchases' occur at least once a year, and to date all have been successful. We will continue to have these volume purchases occur once a year and will always be scheduled in the months of October and November.
Initial configurations will be based on OIT's current recommendations for equipment used general use in student labs and faculty/staff offices.
OIT is working on configurations that will be recommended for these volume purchases. These configurations are what we currently are ordering for faculty/staff machines.
