Description:
"UTA Wireless Setup" provides access to XpressConnect, an automatic configuration utility that will configure your system to connect to the UTA wireless network.
This document provides a step-by-step guide to using XpressConnect for setup of a wireless connection under Windows Vista and assumes several things:
- You have an 802.11a/b/g compatible wireless network adapter and it has been properly installed;
- You have a fair understanding of the Windows Vista operating system;
- You have a clean default installation of Windows Vista.
How to Use:
- Click the Windows button and click the Connect To button.
- Click on "UTAwireless Setup" and click Connect (then click Connect Anyway in the warning popup).
- Close the "Connect to a network" window.
- Open a web browser. You should be greeted with the welcome page in a new window.
- Click the check box to accept the EULA, then click Start >.
- Click Run in the Warning - Security window, if it appears.
- In the XpressConnect application window, choose either UTA Auto Login or UTA Web Login, then click Continue >.

For "UTA Auto Login":
- If you want to be automatically connected at startup, leave the Automatically submit credentials box checked; otherwise, uncheck the box.
- Enter your NetID and password , then click Continue >.
- Click on the popup bubble requesting additional information to continue with the automatic setup, if necessary.
- You should now be redirected to the OIT Computer Usage Policy web page.
- Click Done in the XpressConnect window to exit the XpressConnect application.
For "UTA Web Login":
- Enter your NetID and password , then click Continue >.
- If necessary, click Retry to finish the connection process.
- The "UTA Web Login" Wireless Network Login page should open in a new window.
- Enter your NetID and password and click Submit.
- You should now be redirected to the OIT Computer Usage Policy web page.
- Click Done in the XpressConnect window to exit the XpressConnect application.
